This article is dedicated to one of the numerous dance orchestras that have existed in the town of Arafo. It was called “The Six Men”, due to the number of members that made it up, and it only remained active for a little less than two years. However, at that time they took their good musical work to venues in numerous Tenerife towns and even Lanzarote.
Most of its members were araferos, one of them being its coordinator, Don Adalberto Albertos Albertos, despite being the youngest of the group. Three months after the dissolution of the musical-vocal Email Marketing List group “Los 5 de Arafo”, in June 1969 a new orchestra was formed in the town of Arafo, with three members of the previous one plus three other new musicians, which was baptized “The Six Men”, in English to give it a touch of modernity.
