How would you feel tomorrow if Google sent you -80% traffic to your e-shop? Admittedly, the most difficult job in the field of SEO is for professionals and agencies who are called to manage e-shops. The absence of text that will help the algorithm evaluate the usability of the site and the existence of many pages with little content (products) make e-shops difficult for Google to understand. Many brave people have tried to "help" by using various tricks - maybe you have heard about the use of doorway pages and you have certainly seen the thousands of spam comments with irrelevant links on strange blogs - but the result is always short-term. Soon one of the next improvements to Google's algorithm, such as Panda will fix the loophole and temporarily or permanently penalize domains that tried to cheat it.

One can easily understand what a loss of money translates into such a punishment of a few dozen places in the SERPs or even the total deletion from Google's indexing mobile number list who for a long time bought thousands of bad quality links for 0.5 Euros ended up hunting down webmasters to beg them to delete them for 5 Euros each. The horror scenario: eBay eBay after Panda 4.0 But we started somewhere: update Panda 4.0. Date: May 20, 2014 Paraphilology and speculation among SEOs always reaches its peak on such days. Until we estimate that a first crawl by Google has been completed and we see the first results, we indulge in a series of predictions about what the possible impact of this update will be. And in this particular case we had one more reason: Changes to the algorithm are now made on a monthly basis.

For there to be an announcement from official lips, something big is coming. What followed, however, was not expected. Skipping the technical details, the result was this: eBay lost 80% of its top search results. Try a search on the not insignificant “iPhone 5 cases”. At the time we speak eBay is nowhere to be found. The loss of turnover in such a commercial search query is incalculable. eBay's exemplary punishment was the result of both algorithmic and manual penalization by Google. The eBay people had implemented an elaborate method, showing the Google bot (the robot that "reads" the pages on the internet) some pages that were not easily accessible if we as users went to navigate their site.
