In the midst of the current crisis, the competition will highlight teams that leverage cutting-edge technologies to develop products, services and innovative solutions that "answer" modern agri-food challenges. Those interested can submit their applications online ar , which will remain open until 5/29/2020 . There are three categories of the competition, in which one can submit his participation: Agri-Tech Startups for business proposals related to the primary sector and have developed a prototype. Food-Tech Startups , for business proposals related to food processing and quality and have developed a prototype.business proposals concerning either the primary sector or food processing and quality, have not developed a prototype and are in the initial stages of development. Proposals will first be screened by the steering committee for eligibility and then evaluated for innovation, viability and applicability of their business plan by a special evaluation committee.
The thirty finalist teams will participate in a special two-day bootcamp (July 7-8) during which they Belize Email List will be mentored by experts to present their ideas "live" to an audience and a panel during the final phase of the competition, which will take place on July 9.
The winning teams of the competition, in addition to the monetary prizes with a total value of 22,000 euros, will have international networking opportunities as well as personalized support in all aspects of their business activity. Ms. Efi Lazaridou, Managing Director of the "New Agriculture for the New Generation" program states: "In the midst of this unprecedented global crisis, we stand by the new generation of scientists and creators and implement the "Trophy - FoodChallenge" competition for the second year. The challenges of COVID-19 in the agri-food industry have brought to the fore the need for innovative, sustainable solutions to issues such as food sufficiency and food and supply chain safety.
